"Land surface temperature parameterization for different sensors

in arid regions and modeling air temperature"

Prof. Dr. Seyed Kazem Alavi Panah

University of Tehran, Iran

Land Surface Temperature (LST) and Diurnal Temperature Cycle (DTC) modeling is applicable in some studies. In this study, we compare 23000 LST products of MODIS and INSAT-3D for a 16 years period based on DTC modeling. Then, effect of some environmental variables on the maximum LSTs was analyzed. Lut Desert, Iran as a unique thermal behavior was also selected for time series analysis of LST, s. The results demonstrated that the air DTC model could be directly derived from LST DTC model. We generally concluded that Lut Desert might be considered as a prominent location for some calibrations and world climate studies.
