Abstract:
At low relief areas such as plains, digital soil mapping is a challenge therefore this study was aimed to digital mapping of soil classes at family levels by appropriate Geomorphometric variables and fuzzy logic to with area of 16,600 hectares in low relief lands of Qazvin Plain. Based on the geomorphologic map, more than 89 percent of this area is formed by the plain and pen plain landscapes. About 61 soil profiles were digged. Based on expert’s opinion covariates such as diffuse insolation, standardized height, catchment area, valley depth and MRVBF had the most important. 23 Fuzzy Soil Classes Map Using sample-based in ArcSIE software was generated. Validation using error matrix and based on over accuracy and index Kappa was verified and uncertainty maps of ignorance and exaggerating were investigated. The results showed that 23 soil families class were found. Overall accuracy was 54% and the Kappa index was 46%. The results of the uncertainty of ignorance and exaggeration were obtained from 0 to 0.64 and 0 to 1, highest range is due to the diversity of soil classes and the high degree of membership associated with each soil class. The results of exaggerated uncertainty indicate that the diversity of classes is less or have a less number of profiles is the highest and in the southern regions, the amount of uncertainty is lowest. Generally using geomorphometric parameters indicate the importance of specific parameters in plain areas for mapping of soils that need not be properly investigated and analyzed
